How this thing called a wedding got started!

I wanted to share my engagement story and how this whole thing came to be. This year on Valentines day, Parker and I spent the whole day together. We woke up and decided to go to breakfast. We chose Doug and Emmy's and surprise surprise it was swamped. We would have not been eating until 2:00, guaranteed! We figured we better find somewhere else so we went to Mimi's cafe. After breakfast we went shopping and picked up a few things. After visiting loved ones we thought we would go snow shoeing. We had talked about going for a long time. We drove up to Mountain Green, which by the way is beautiful. After snow shoeing in for a good twenty mins or so we came to a huge snow hill. We climbed to the top and looked at the beautiful view around us.

Since it was Valentines day, Parker thought it would be cool to make a giant heart in the snow. He wanted to put P+J and have me take a picture of it. He told me to stay up on the hill and he would go down into the field. I guided him while he was snow shoeing this huge heart into the snow.

After the heart was made he told me to go the other side of the hill and to not watch cause this next part was a surprise. I had no I idea, I sat and took pictures and wrote things in the snow. After about 15 mins I wondered what was taking so long? Finally he came huffing and puffing up the hill. He had me close my eyes and he led me to the edge. He told me to open my eyes and what I saw was amazing. Parker had stomped Will you marry me Jamie?, into the heart. He got down on one knee and told me some of the nicest things I have ever heard.

I of course said YES, and that is where we are today!! I am the luckiest girl to be able to share my life with this person. Here are a few more pictures of our unforgettable day.

Parker's birthday

Yesterday was not only Easter but Parker's birthday. It was a day of family time and rememberance. I love the holidays but especially Easter. It has such meaning to me and I am so thankful for what it means in my life. I love the Savior and all he did for all of us.

After church on Easter, Parker and I packed a picnic lunch. For his birthday he wanted to drive as far as he could before dinner. We got in the car and started heading east. We wanted to make it to the sister hills in Wyoming. After three hours in the car we made it to Wyoming and back just in time for dinner. I love spending time with Parker, we sat and talked about everything.

The following day we went out to dinner with Parker's family. I love spending time with the Cornabys. Maddi was in town for the weekend and it has been so fun having her around. In my little selfish way I want her to just come back up this way. I totally understand that she is in love with Moab. Until then I will look forward to seeing her once a month.

This is the whole family at dinner, and Chris who is Maddi's new boyfriend.
